Your Best Address/Mailbox Usage Fees

At Your Best Address, transparency matters.

Below is a clear breakdown of optional services, usage-based fees, and standard charges that may apply depending on how you use your mailbox and services.

This page is provided so you know exactly what to expect.

Every Your Best Address mailbox includes the following at no additional cost:

  • A real South Dakota address (not a P.O. Box)

  • Secure mail receipt of mail and packages

  • Live human support, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (phone and email)

  • Unlimited mail forwarding address changes

  • Unlimited forwarding schedule updates or changes

  • No mail count limits — we do not cap the amount of mail you receive

  • Unlimited mail and package receipt

  • Junk mail presort at no charge

  • Online access to your account information

  • Ability to ship using USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL

  • Free in-office mail pickup during business hours

  • Complimentary on-demand forwarding scheduling

  • Complimentary shredding for unwanted mail

Optional Add-On Services

The following services are not included in the base mailbox price and are available as optional add-ons:

Pricing for these services is separate and not included in your basic mailbox address

  • Digital Mail Access / Digital Portal- Personal

  • South Dakota vehicle registration

  • South Dakota Registered Agent Services- Business

  • Business Digital Mail Access / Digital Portal

  • South Dakota Business Commercial Presence Address

  • South Dakota Residential Address

Usage-Based & Additional Fees

The following fees may apply based on your activity, requests, or usage under the Terms of Service.

1. Mail Handling Service Fees

Charged when mail or packages are processed for forwarding or shipment:

$1.60 per USPS shipment

$2.60 per UPS, FedEx, or DHL shipment

(Shipping carrier postage costs are additional and deducted from your postage escrow account.)

3. Mail & Package Storage (Beyond Free Storage Period- 90 days)

If items remain in storage beyond the included free storage period:

$1.00 per week for envelope mail, magazines, or newspapers

$2.00 per week for packages smaller than 12” x 12”

$5.00 per week for packages larger than 12” x 12”

Storage fees are assessed weekly until items are forwarded, picked up, or disposed of per policy. 

You will always be contacted 30 days prior to storage fees beginning and have the ability to shred or forward mail.

5. Mail Scanning Services

For open and scan requests:

$1.00 per item, plus $0.50 per page scanned

Scanning costs are additional and deducted from your postage escrow account.)

6. Notary Services

Standard South Dakota notary fees apply

$15.00 per document, unless included in a purchased service bundle

7. Postage Wallet

A prepaid postage wallet is recommended to cover forwarding and service-related charges. This wallet is used for postage and courier fees, Your Best Address handling fees, scanning services, box checks, and check deposit requests.

Starting balance recommendations are $25 or $50, but any amount can be called in for deposit.

8. Administrative & Setup Fees

No Set Up Fee for Mailbox Address outside of Sign Up Fee

$50.00 to add a Recipient to your Mailbox Address after set up is complete (at set up this is free)

$5.00 per Business per month to add a Business Mailbox Address, paid in annual terms. 3 Businesses are Included in Mailbox Address Set Up

$5.00 per Business per month to add a Business Digital Mailbox Address, paid in annual terms. 5 Businesses are Included in Mailbox Address Set Up

9. Credit Card & ACH Processing Fee

A 2.99% processing surcharge applies to all credit card and ACH payments

Fees are only charged when applicable

Government, state ,county, or third-party fees are separate from Your Best Address service fees
